Mikala Albertson
BIO
Mikala Albertson is a Family Practice doctor turned mostly stay-at-home mom who is passionate about all things beautiful and ordinary. She lives with her husband of 19 years just outside of Salt Lake City, Utah, and together they raise their five children who range in age from fifteen to four.
You’ll find her most days in jeans and a T-shirt at the neighborhood grocery store stocking up on food or attempting to keep laundry from overtaking the house. She loves hiking in the mountains, reading, and writing…but her main hobbies include picking up dirty socks and driving her boys from basketball practice to soccer games and back again.
She loves to tell the truth. And writes about motherhood and marriage and all things imperfect and ordinary on her blog Ordinaryonpurpose.com where she’d love to have you follow along!
Her greatest hope for writing is to give you permission… permission to release your grip on all the ‘should do’-s and ‘have to’-s and comparisons and ‘I’m not measuring up’-s and encourage you to just be free to live your life. This one. The life God has planned for you… however imperfect. In this body with this spouse and these children in this house at this job with these parents and these circumstances. This plain old, good hard, ordinary life… this breathtakingly beautiful LIFE. Join her. And be Ordinary on Purpose!!
