Amy Lively
BIO
Amy’s passion is teaching God’s Word as a “How To” manual for loving Him and loving our neighbor. Her teaching is rooted in ancient Scripture yet rich in modern application to help women discover lasting hope during difficult days—then share it with a neighbor. Amy’s style is casual and conversational – as if the two of you were having coffee at her kitchen table. She explains complex theology in simple, relatable ways using Scriptural study, personal application, and group discussion.
BDA represented Amy’s newest book, Can I Borrow a Cup of Hope: How to Find Faith for Hard Times in 1 Peter (Kregel, 2023). This hybrid format combines the depth of a trade book, the rigor of a Bible study, the shared experience of a small group curriculum, and the spiritual impact of a devotional. She also wrote How to Love Your Neighbor Without Being Weird (2015). As an ordained minister, Amy has leadership experience in church planting, women’s ministry, small groups, and parachurch organizations. She is also a retreat and event speaker, church volunteer, community organizer, and business owner.
