Jenna Schutt

Jenna Schutt

Jenna Schutt is a Christian writer, speaker, former cardiac RN, rare-disease survivor, stem-cell transplant survivor, wife, and homeschool mom who helps women move beyond surface-level joy and train a deep spiritual joy rooted in God’s truth.

She lives in the middle of a cornfield in rural Nebraska with her husband, Eric, their two boys, and their loyal dog, Jade. Her life is full of faith, family, homeschool lessons, church ministry, dirt roads, laundry piles, snack requests, and learning to find joy in the beautifully ordinary moments God places right in front of her.

Jenna loves her creamer with a little bit of coffee, porch-swing conversations, evenings by the fire pit, and those rare quiet moments when she can sit with coffee in one hand and her Bible in the other. She deeply loves her boys, her husband, her family, and the people God has placed in her life. She is the kind of woman who shows up for the people who need her, often with encouragement, humor, honesty, and a little bit of holy fire.

Jenna’s life changed in a before-and-after kind of way when she went from being the cardiac nurse to becoming the patient. While her boys were still in diapers, she was diagnosed with a rare, incurable bone marrow disease that led to IV chemotherapy, painful procedures, serious complications, and eventually a life-saving stem-cell transplant.

Through that season, Jenna learned that faith is not just something we talk about after the storm passes. It is something we practice in the middle of fear, waiting, unanswered questions, and the moments we never would have chosen.

That journey became the foundation for her message, The Joy Reflex™.

As a spunky and spirited speaker and writer, Jenna brings biblical truth, real-life honesty, and a down-to-earth medical perspective anyone can understand, along with hard-won joy to women who are done pretending they are fine and want to live in victory. Through speaking, writing, podcast conversations, and online ministry, she helps women train their hearts and minds to return to God’s truth, practice peace before panic, and train a joy rooted in Christ rather than in their circumstances.

Her heart is to speak to the woman who is trying so desperately to keep it all together on the outside but feels like she is unraveling on the inside. While Jenna often shares from her own medical journey, she understands that everyone has their own hard.

Whether that hard is illness, anxiety, burnout, motherhood, grief, financial pressure, relationship strain, uncertainty, or simply the weight of everyday life, Jenna gently reminds her that she is not alone in it. Fear does not get to have the final word. God’s peace is still available. His joy is still possible. And His faithfulness will never leave her side.

Jenna believes joy is **not** a shallow, forced emotional response to circumstances. She **does believe** that biblical joy can become a trained spiritual response, formed by returning to God’s presence and promises again and again. Her mission is to help women increase their faith, practice peace before panic, and train joy as a reflex in the middle of real life.

When Jenna is not writing, speaking, homeschooling, or encouraging women online, you’ll likely find her on the porch swing, beside the fire pit, hot coffee in hand, laughing at something her boys said, loving her family fiercely, or finding beauty in the simple places where God’s faithfulness keeps showing up.
