We’ve spent more than 30 years doing exactly that, and we’re here to help you move forward with confidence.
What We Do at BDA
We seek to give writers the skills to write and publish their book—helping them focus on their strengths and pursue their goals through phases of writing, editing, and producing a quality work. We ensure that every writer who becomes a published author feels valued, seen, and equipped to take their message into the right channels for their readers.
Our goal is to help create, amplify, and advocate for the works of all writers whose ideas inspire others.
One-On-One Coaching Sessions
Quick General Coaching Session
30 minutes
A quick check-in that will cover everything from publishing strategy and writing goals, what to do with your writing, what brand or theme you are developing, what you should be working on next, and other questions to brainstorm.
Get Published Consultation
1 hour
A focused session that will walk you through the elements of your publication path—from determining what type of book to write and writing your proposal, to building your audience, defining your target reader, strategizing your book launch, and discerning the right publishing path for you.
Content Development Consultation
1 hour
Hands-on session(s) focused on the content of your manuscript—covering how to develop a consistent writing practice, narrow your ideas to a clear and compelling topic, build the structure and framework of your book, manage the flow of each chapter, define your signature message, and create content and a marketing plan to promote your book. (Multiple sessions can be requested.)
Coaching and consultation sessions are available with Blythe, Stephanie, and Cynthia.

Book a Pitch Appointment
We maintain an active presence at writer’s conferences and publishing events throughout the year, and we’d love to meet you there. Book a 20-minute pitch appointment to present your book idea, share where you are in the writing process, and introduce yourself to one of our agents. Can’t make it to a conference? Virtual pitch appointments are available too.
