As president of The Blythe Daniel Agency, Inc., Blythe works with clients in the areas of her 20 years of experience: book development, literary representation, and marketing. She executes publicity campaigns, and as a literary agent she helps to develop an author’s unique, compelling message and secures publishing contracts for clients.
As an agent, she represents mainly inspirational, home, and lifestyle books from authors who come from organizations like Focus on the Family, FamilyTalk, Cru, Proverbs 31 Ministries, Dollar General, JP Morgan Chase, Houston Chronicle, and others.
She has booked authors on thousands of media outlets, including The Today Show, Good Morning America, Fox News, CNN.com, Ladies Home Journal, The G. Gordon Liddy Show, The 700 Club, Moody Radio Network, FamilyLife, Focus on the Family, USA Radio, LA Daily News, and others.
Blythe started in media and publishing working as Public Relations/News Director for WNAZ-FM in Nashville, Tennessee where she was a news reporter and producer/host of two weekly radio programs. She became an independent publicist and freelance writer for Christian and country music artists and trade and consumer magazines and newspapers.
She then spent seven years working as Publicity Director and then Marketing Director at Thomas Nelson Publishers (now Harper Collins Christian Publishing) where she directed hundreds of publicity and marketing campaigns.
In 2004 Blythe moved to Colorado to get married and worked for three years as the Product Development Manager for Ransomed Heart Ministries founded by New York Times bestselling authors John and Stasi Eldredge.
She opened her agency in 2005 working with authors on publicity campaigns and also as literary agent. Her publicity clients have included many Christian and general market publishers, Brother Andrew and Open Doors International, Cityteam International, Jerry Jenkins, and others.
At Thomas Nelson and since opening her agency, Blythe has worked on publicity campaigns for John Maxwell, Kim Alexis, John Eldredge, Charles Stanley, Andy Stanley, Steve Arterburn, Dennis Rainey, Dave Ramsey, Sheila Walsh, Ginny Brant (daughter of Nixon advisor during Watergate), Jeff Iorg (President of Golden Gate Seminary), Steve Greisen (Founder of Exploration Films) and others.
Her literary clients include pastors and staff from mega churches, including Next Level Church and North Point Community Church, mom mentors who lead organizations like The M.O.M. Initiative and MomsTogether, bloggers with significant followings, food and DIY bloggers, church and marketplace leaders, and various speakers.
Blythe has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Communication from Auburn University with a minor in Journalism. She lives in Colorado Springs with her husband, daughter, and boy/girl twins. She enjoys Hallmark movies, Starbucks, Auburn football, and laughter with good friends and family.
