robert-crosbyRobert is Professor of Practical Theology in the College of Ministry & Religion at Southeastern University (Lakeland, FL), author of four books, including More Than A Savior (Multnomah), Living Life From the Soul (Bethany House) and the Conversation Starters series (Focus on the Family).

He currently writes articles forChristianity Today, CT Online, Pentecostal Evangel, Leadership Journal, and Church of God Evangel. He writes a bi-weekly column for (“Catch the Current”) and a blog at Patheos (“The Current”). One of his Patheos columns is listed on Scot McKnight’s blog (entitled “Why God?”).

His next book is The Teaming Church: Ministry in the Age of Collaboration (Abingdon Press, 2013) with endorsements from Craig Groeschel and others.Robert has a B.A. in pastoral studies from Southeastern University (1980) and a Doctor of Ministry from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary (2006).

He has served three churches and one Christian university with roles that have included youth pastor, senior pastor, Vice President (university) and, now, Professor of Practical Theology at in the College of Ministry & Religion at Southeastern University. His current role involves training hundreds of emerging ministry leaders.

He has appeared on over fifty national and local Christian radio programs including interviews with Janet Parshall and Kevin Leman. His books have been featured on the Focus on the Family radio program. Robert speaks at various churches and also periodically speaks at leadership events and ministry conferences.

He has been a visiting lecturer at Biola University the past two years where he trains young ministers in the Doctor of Ministry Program in the area of Team Leadership.
